Inspired by a muse, Amsterdam indie band Scarlet (formally known as The Crowns) is releasing their debut album in the first quarter of 2014.

Scarlet joined forces with producer Ian Dowling (Kasabian, Adele), engineer Robbie Nelson (The Kills, Arctic Monkeys) and producer/mixer Barny Barnicott (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian) at Barny’s studio in Bluebell Hill, UK. !Dutch boys, Valentijn Crouwel, vocals and bassist Daan Koelemeijer seamlessly fuse with the Caribbean duo, lead guitarist Ramiro Lladó and drummer José O.Jiménez creating a sexy indie pop sound inspired by their seducing muse Scarlet. The band have been featured on popular radio station 3FM as ‘Serious Talent’ in 2011 and a performance on prime time Dutch television show ‘De Wereld Draait Door’. The band have played in most major cities in The Netherlands with performances at Oranjepop, Sommeltjespop, ASF Festival Amsterdam, Popronde and played venues such as Paradiso and Melkweg. The boys have a big year ahead with shows and radio exposure planned throughout The Netherlands and beyond to support the album release.
