HOOPDOOP meets The New Label Project.
By: Monyart

The New Label Project is a concept store that gives the opportunity to emerging designers to expose and sell their handmade creations.
The idea of the shop was born last August from the creatives minds of Giulia E. Bessone (Style & Design mind) and her boyfriend Christian Naldi (Business Developer).
Before opening TNLP store (in December 2011) Giulia selected more than 500 disegners, to end up with the final 30 to be exposed in the store. Seeing the success the concept is having amongst designers & shoppers, the number of designers is growing fast and they get to be contacted by artists from all over the world.
TNLP now has more than 40 designers from The Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, UK, US, Greece, Spain, Israel and more to come! The concept is based on renting a box (see the pictures) that become a little shop for each designer.
Designers based in The Netherlands usually come to the store to personalize their box, the rest send the creations to the store that takes care of the display.
The philosophy behind the concept is to offer a wide choice of handmade creations in order to satisfy different budgets: to make art & fashion exclusive in style but affordable in price.

Outside the box there is space for photographs & painters, TNLP rents the walls too: last month Alexandra Feo exhibited a part of Madame Portrait collection, a series of selfportraits (http://www.hoopdoopmagazine.com/?p=1299).
Next step will be to open more TNLP stores around the world: they already have a few cities in mind and Milano might be the very next one!
Every month the shop organizes workshops and the Italian Aperitivo a nice way to mix up shoppers and designers with Italian wine and fingers food.
