Rademakers Gallery in Amsterdam presents a solo exhibition of photographer Jimmy Nelson. The gallery shows new images of Jimmy’s latest journeys for his upcoming second book which will be published in autumn of 2018. The exhibition runs from 5 October until 5 November.

For his new book Jimmy Nelson plans to visit another unique 35 indigenous cultures around the globe. From the Northern reaches of Siberia with the Khanys reindeer herders, to the deep jungles of the Amazon with the Pataxo. From the Himalayas with the Laylap in Bhutan to the last hidden outposts of Africa with the Mundari in isolated South Sudan.

Jimmy will not only be photographing, the peoples will also be filmed, interviewed to celebrate their destinctive aesthetic cultural heritage. Therefore ‘Before They’ Part II will be a journey, an investigation and a far more in-depth catalyst to an ethnographic discussion as to the lasting values and importance of these precious cultures.

Since 2010, Jimmy Nelson (UK, 1967) has traveled to the world’s most hidden corners to photograph indigenous communities. With ‘Before They Pass Away’ he is exhibiting at museums, shows his work at art galleries and speaking at international conferences. Jimmy and the project have been published in over a 1000 magazines.
