About the gallery
The Mini Galerie was founded by Julia van der Meer in 2011. Several times a year she transformed her own living room into a temporary exhibition space, where she exhibited works from talented and upcoming artists. Even though she started small, the Mini Galerie was soon invited for several national artfairs, such as the KunstRai in Amsterdam and the Raw Art Fair in Rotterdam. After three promising years the gallery is moving to a new location at the Kinkerstraat in Amsterdam. The Mini Galerie works with a wide range of upcoming artists, both national and international, who share an interest in the public space. Most of the artists use graphic and abstract elements in their work, applying this visual language on murals all around the world.
