AND CULTURAL WEEK
2019

Africa Fashion & Cultural Week is a bi-annual event organized by Africa Fashion Museum. This year’s events will be held at several Ultra-modern, characterised and symbolic artistic venues such as The Botanic Garden Meise on the 26-27 of July, De Koning Party Center in Amsterdam on 22-23 August, Bâtiment Talenz Of Rennes on the 12-13 July, the congress hall of Sipopo on the 2-6 October, and the palace of congress in Yaounde on the 19-21 December respectively.

The organizing of the event has official endorsement by the African Embassy’s in The Hague, Brussels and the Ministry Of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts Promotion In Equatorial Guinea, Africa.

THE EVENT
The 13th edition of Africa Fashion & Cultural Week is expected to maintain its mega crowd puller record within the African community and the diaspora. To change the global consciousness and perception of African culture by promoting its array of prosperous countries as desired destinations hosting Travel and Tourism, Fashion, Arts and Entertainment, Cuisine and Foreign exchange to increase economic enrichment.

By so doing, AFCW is expanding the African fashion, textile and international trade industry from mentorship programmes to ‘artistic innovation empowerment’ of brands, fashion houses, designers, models and craftsmen by highlighting Africa’s longstanding contribution to the fashion industry.

It is important to know that our African culture is already maintained on an international level. Therefor we are organizing the thirteenth (13th) edition of Africa Fashion & Cultural Week (AFCW) which will be taking place from July to December in the hereafter mentioned cities, hosted by the Africa Fashion Museum Foundation (that promotes tropical cultures worldwide), the African embassies in Den Haag, and Brussels and the Ministry Of Culture Tourism and Handicraft Promotions (under Minister Rufino Ndong Esono) Of Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

We are formally inviting you and everyone with an interest in fashion, art, african prints and culture to the event which comes up in Amsterdam on the 22 – 23 August respectively at De Koning Events & Party Hall. It is our hope that you will bring your experience to bear in making the Fashion Week a success and any form of support you fashion to the organization of this event will be highly appreciated.

JULY

THE SHOWS
15 – 30 fashion models will be selected from our annual model casting, meanwhile resulting from the registrations, 15 fashion designers will be selected to represent the cultural heritage of their 15 different countries respectively to be part of the Africa Fashion and Cultural Week Events in July in the Fashion Cities of Rennes, France and Bruxelles, Belgium.

AUGUST

THE SHOWS
In this month, another set of 15 fashion models will be selected from our annual model casting meanwhile from the registrations for Amsterdam, ONLY 15 Fashion Designers and Vendors will be selected to represent 15 different countries to be part of the Africa Fashion Week in the city of Amsterdam.

OCTOBER

THE GRAND SHOWS

In the celebration of the Nation’s Independence Day Celebration, thirty to fifty local and international fashion models will be selected from our annual model casting in the cities of Malabo, Bata, Yaoundé and N’Djamena.

Following the results from the registrations, 30 fashion designers and vendors will be selected to represent their individual cultural heritage and fashionable experience in the Sipopo Congress Center of Equatorial Guinea.

Just like every other edition of Africa Fashion & Cultural Week (AFCW), this edition is a prestigious Fashion and Cultural franchise that comprises an amalgamation of creative thinkers ranging from fashion designers, models and textile distributors to artisans, culinarians and musicians.

Our events combine African culture with tourism by fashioning a collective environment where likeminded individuals can network together to showcase their collaborative ventures.

DECEMBER

THE SHOWS

In Yaoundé, Cameroun, 30 local and international fashion models will be selected from our annual model casting in the cities of Malabo, Douala and Yaoundé.

Following the results from the registrations in the city of Yaounde, 30 fashion designers and vendors will be selected to represent their individual cultural heritage and fashionable experience in the Congress Center of Yaoundé, Cameroun.
